Son of Shri Kishan Chand; born on 28^th August, 1964 at Village Jole, Tehsil Jaswan, Distt. Kangra; B.Sc., B.Ed.; married to Smt. Mamta; one son and one daughter.

Elected to the State Legislative Assembly in 2003 from Jaswan Assembly segment; re-elected in 2012 & December, 2017 from Jaswan-Pragpur. (After delimitation in 2007, Jaswan Assembly segment is known as Jaswan-Pragpur).

Vice- Chairman: i) H.P. Khadi & Gramudyog Board, 1999-2003, ii) H.P. Forest Corporation, 2008-2012; President, State BJYM 2000; Vice- President State BJP 2008; Member, Public Undertakings, Estimates, Subordinate Legislation, Business Advisory  and Rural Planning Committees, 2013-2017; and Industries Minister along with Portfolios of Labour Employment, Technical Education and Vocational, Industrial Training, 27^th December, 2017 - 8^th December, 2022 and portfolio of Transport, 31^st July 2020 - 8^th December, 2022.

Elected to the State Legislative Assembly (4^th term) in December, 2022; and nominated as Member, Public Undertakings, Human Development & Member Amenities Committees.
