Sunehru Devi and Late Shri Rohli Ram Katwal; born on 17^th  May, 1956 at Village Ropri, P.O and Tehsil Jhandutta, District Bilaspur, HP;  MA (Political Science) from Agra University, MBA, Post Graduate  Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication (PGJMC), Certificate in Human Rights (CHR) and Certificate in Computing (CIC) from IGNOU; married to Smt. P.Angmo Katwal; two daughters and one son;  Retired Civil Servant, Agriculturist, Horticulturist, Social and Political worker.

Started career as Telephone Operator (P&T Deptt.). Thereafter joined General Insurance Corporation of India as Assistant Administrative Officer. Joined Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service in 1986 and appointed to Indian Administrative Service in year 2001.

 As an HAS and IAS officer held various important assignments in the Govt. of H.P. i.e. SDMs in Lahaul-Spiti, Kullu and Mandi Districts, Additional District Magistrate Shimla, Collector of Forest, Kullu & Deputy Comissioner, Una.

Books Published: Case Study: Sustainable Plastic Waste Management in H.P (Presented in group, in International Workshop on Excellence in Public Administration and e-governance, in New Delhi) which was selected for teaching in Harvard University, USA.
